Please Help Our Tax-Aide Volunteers
The AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service for people with low to moderate incomes, giving special attention to people over age 60.
Though Tax-Aide is only partially funded by the government, this program is almost entirely volunteer based. In fact, this tax season, 32,000 Tax-Aide volunteers are currently helping millions of people navigate their way through their federal returns. As a result, nearly $160 million in earned income tax credits were paid to taxpayers nationwide.
Our Tax-Aide volunteers are willing to invest long hours in helping others. But they can’t do it alone. They need the financial support caring people like you can provide. Funds are needed for:
- 40 hours of rigorous training
- Computer equipment to prepare taxes and to file electronically
- Gas money to and from the tax preparation sites
- Other costs associated with tax preparation
Your tax-deductible donation today will help make our Tax-Aide and other critical Foundation programs possible in your state and across the nation.
Please support our Tax-Aide volunteers and donate today so we can continue to provide this valuable service to even more seniors free of charge.
With your support today, more seniors will be able to lead better and more fulfilling lives.
